Oil Cooler

So I had some time to burn today and checked out the local scrap yard, didn't realize crashed 4 runners are so hard to find, found a few crashed 2nd gens and 2- 3rd gen and 1 4th gen. I managed to get a good Transmission cooler (pressure tested) no leaks and I liked the twisted tube design. On my way out I spotted an oil cooler on a crashed 4th gen so I grabbed that as well.

So has anyone ever added an oil cooler on a 3rd gen? I as thinking about using a filter relocation kit and splicing the oil cooler from the discharge and maybe add a bypass valve for the cold months up here in Fort McMurray (google it :P)
.

Also saw a RS3000 module in a crashed 98 ( see below) can that be fitted to a 2000 limited? or will the immobiliser unit cause problems, I just want the lock/ unlock feature.

not a bad day for hunting :) didn't find anything for the wife haha

If you have a limited, you should already have keyless entry and alarm. I think you just need to get a key fob remote control.

^ thanks singtoe, I have a 2000 limited, with the chipped key, PO did not have a remote, so to be sure is there any way of checking to see if there is some module in my vehicle that supports that remote?
I don't have any module under the driver's seat

When I bought mine it didnt have the key fob. So I went to the dealer to see how much it would be, so I gave them my VIN and they were able to pull up my original window sticker to show that mine came from the factory with keyless entry. So all I need to do is buy the key fob. Havent found one yet for a decent price...

If your key is chipped and 2000 Ltd, then you can use a key fob. If you want to find it I think it's inside the rear hatch.

Did you try Key Fobs and Car Remotes : Replacement Car Remote and Aftermarket Keyless Entry Auto Remotes ?
