Oil Filter Comparison Study

Ok first off I am new to the forum and did introduce myself not to long ago. I am going to be picking up my 1998 4Runner Limited shortly and have been cruising the forum to educate myself about my 4Runner. One common question on this forum seems to be about oil, oil changes, filters, etc. I have come across this link which I found some time ago and wanted to pass it on because I think it will help some people on this forum in their choice of oil filters. This is an independent study and by no means the spoken word for oil filters but none the less extremely interesting-if you like reading about oil filters. Some of you might have seen this site so you might have already formed your opinions but for those of you who have not, have at it! As far as oil is concerned I have been using Castrol GTX and Castrol Synthetic in all my vehicles since day one and will continue to do so-like the stuff, plus I think it's a good product. Since I have your attention where can I get OEM Toyota oil filters for a decent price? So if you have nothing better to do check out the link below-Let me know what you think! Thanks!

Thanks for the links and comments on the oil filter site! Any suggestions on the best place to buy oil filters for my 1998 4Runner Limited? :thanks:

I use the Puralator PureOne filters and have for over 10 years and they've been good to my 4Runners and my very modded '93 turbo Eclipse.

If you don't go with an Toyota filter then just go to any Pep Boys,Checkers, etc. for the others.
