Hello folks. Johine new to forum. I bought a 2013 4Runner SR5 two months ago and decided to change the oil and filter yesterday. What a surprise to find this canister type filter which I had never seen before. My problem and question is, I didn't see the new O-rings or the little disposable plastic filter draining piece. Therefore I did not drain the filter housing nor did I install the two O-rings. Is this going to damage my motor or is the filter not going to function properly as a result not draining it? I ran the car and have not noticed any leaks so the O-rings may be alright for now my main concern is not using that piece they included and draining that filter housing. Anybody have any info on this? Thanks for the help.
