Oil filter standard/larger?

IDK about the Honda crush washers...
As far as a bigger filter goes it's a mixed bag. I like them. Many will fire back "Toyota put a gazillion dollars into designing this thing, why mess with it, why risk having to battle a warranty issue."
The challenge with bigger filters on the V6 4th gen is the filters have a tendency to drain out after a long sit. This means, especially with a bigger filter, there's a delay in building oil pressure. The PL20195/PL25230/FL400S size seems to be a good compromise and they have good anti-drain characteristics. The FJC guys have tried the PL30001 size and it seems to be too big, too long to refill after a long sit. The good of bigger filters is more media, more capacity etc.
I am running an experiment with some filters that have standpipes. I like the Baldwin BT215, Fleetgaurd FL700, Napa 1460 and the Napa 1806 so far. Lots of filter, no delay on the oil pressure light going out. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/maintenance/68152-larger-oil-filter-1gr-fe-4th-gen-v6.html

I just got back from wally world and pep boys. I picked up 6 qts. of 5w30 Mobil 1 full synthetic and the Purolator proline PPL10241, should I be good to go? my 4runner is a 08' sr5 V6 4.0.
And yes, the crush washers I have look to be aluminum, should they work ok?
Also, I was pretty surprised to see these Purolator oil filters at such a cheap price ($3.00 ea.), before I install this filter can you verify it is a quality filter? Also, the oil filter says nothing about being used with synthetic oil, I thought when using synthetic oil you needed to use a filter that accepted synthetic oil? not true?

Not likely, but as CJ said, check the diameters. Mfgs tend to be consistent on things like this to minimize inventory...our '06 CR-V uses 14mm washers so it's likely the same with your Civic. The 4R uses 12mm washers.
