Oil leak and loss of power on road trip

Hey Guys. I'm up in Mammoth and when I was pulling the grade out of bishop at about 60mph using cruise control it all of a sudden dropped big in power. It never got warm or had a cel. The power ended up coming back and the car has driven normal here in town. After I noticed oil on the passenger side engine bay near dipstick/valve covers and more than normal in the parking spot. I refilled it.

So it's a 1999 3.4L 4runner with 195,000. I did the valve covers 10k miles ago.
Anyone have any similar experience/ideas? Thanks

If the vehicle is unable to maintain the set speed within a predetermined speed range due to climbing a steep grade, etc., the cruise control will disengage abruptly. I'd say that more than likely this is what happened.

The solution is to not use cruise control in those situations.

As for the oil leak, I'd say the valve cover leaks weren't completely fixed previously, and is unrelated to the cruise control shutting off abruptly.

This is the part that caught my eye. If you have oil leaking under the vehicle every time you park you have a pretty good oil leak.

Yeah. I live in corona and used yotamasters to check my truck out. Usually I only have a couple drops, but this time I had a little puddle. Basically it came down to if you can live with the small leak do so. They didn't feel like it was a big deal. I need to figure why my engine bay is wet though because that seems like a spray vs a drip like before. Plus on 4k interval oil change I've never been low on oil. This time I was towards the minimum amount
