Oil leak!!

Got me thinking too. Have you checked to see if you have any oil film in any vacuum lines? I've been wrong before but I would think if you had enough oil on an O2 sensor for your to notice an issue that you would see/smell smoke. This oil is going somewhere and not being burned. Unless your cylinders are hitting so hard and tight that it is actually consuming it all. Unlikely.

edit: I just reread your first couple of post and see you had some oil in the vent line. Do you still have this? Once you change out that PVC give it some miles and see if you still have the consumption following the o-ring and PVC replacement. I'm thinking oil in that vent might be a good clue as to what is causing this.

I'll do another compression check this weekend after I replace my PCV valve. As for the vacuum lines, I only have one vacuum line going to the brake booster. All other lines have been deleted and capped. I do have one rubber line (don't remember what it does) on the front of the valve cover going to the front of the intake manifold. That line does have a oily film in it but I am assuming that is normal because there's nothing there to stop the oil from flowing through it... maybe that's my problem? If so, a PCV issue? I have taken the upper intake plenum off a few times and I see very minimal oil in the 3 and 4 intake tubes, not enough to write home about.

Do have oil in the intake as well? If it was all going out that line then you would think you would have a nice little film in there as well.

You may be loosing a little there and burning a little in the AM. Wonder if it seeping overnight. Did your morning smoke start after the temp started dropping or has it been normal protocol since you rebuilt it?

Swift might be on to something with this one man. But based off your tendency to attack it right, I'm sure you'll figure this thing out.

I've got a real small valve cover gasket leak, around the passenger side firewall, it drips onto the exhaust manifold and burns it off, you sure you dont have a similar situation? No gooey valve cover gasket?
