Oil Pressure Light on the Fritz?

Long story short I traversed Christy Lake at Raush Creek. The water was about 3 1/2 - 4 feet deep I'm guessing. It came up to my Toyota emblem. Coming home today I ran into a problem. My oil pressure light is flickering on and off, sometimes bright, sometimes very dim. It's a constant flicker. I checked my oil and it seems perfectly fine. Could I have fried the sensor or is it possible that I messed up my pump? Everything seemed mechanically fine on the way home, which leads me to believe I fried the sensor somehow in the water... any ideas?

I would let the truck dry out a day or two and then see if the issue persists. You probably soaked the harness pretty well with water and it might be causing some quirks. If you had a good bow wake (which I am assuming you did since if it was near the front emblem it'd be close to the level of the airbox inlet) its just water causing some fritzin' that should go away after some drying, if not... I'd start checking the wiring.

The same thing happened to me on my previous car right after I powerwashed the engine bay. Light went off after a few days of drying out. Hopefully thats all it is.
