I've been meaning to share my oil experiences with you, as this forum and the people have been very helpful in the past, thought I'd return some of the good karma....
re oil, our 95 with a V6 had new oil (unknown type) when we bought it with 140k on it, but the oil pressure was low I thought. I figured it was synthetic oil.
So, after a month I changed to 3-4qts of valvoline VR1 20-50 and 1-2 cans (I forgot exactly) of synthetic.
BINGO !
Great oil pressure, and it doesn't go real low when hot. Now, the pressure is never below the 1st mark to the left (like 1/4 tank of gas mark) and stays between the 1st mark and the middle all the time. I like the fact that the VR1 has plenty of zinc too for lubrication. The car seems to run better and gets better mileage too she says though I doubt that the way she drives.
