Mobil 1 is kind of a standard but they are now making a flavor for every possible situation with a new bottle and a fancy label. If you watch racing on tv then this may be the oil for you. Just notice that their flagship EP oil is not rated SM/GF-4 like the other labels. This might be a consideration for your warranty. Their stuff is good enough to be factory fill on a lot of great cars.
Amsoil is for those that have accepted the message of long change intervals and buying oil in someone's garage from a dealer. At the time of transformation, they remove the required number of quarts and do an oil change. After the completed ceremony they get back in their car to go find more GC.
