I honestly don't get it. Been looking around at some Tacomas (thinking of replacing the Ram), and I can't believe the resale prices I'm seeing. 30K miles or 300K miles, 2014 model or 2008 model doesn't seem to change the resale prices much.
I saw the same with the 4Runners, and I really don't understand it. I get they are reliable and last a long time... but the used prices seem so close (IMO) to new pricing, or do they start dropping the used price significantly once you start to haggle? I know insurance and taxes will likely be slightly less the older the vehicle gets, but at some point having to start replacing wear and tear items (general maintenance things) and the inconvenience of doing such eats into what savings you get from buying used in the Toyota world.
What am I missing? I imagine supply and demand is supporting the pricing, but apparently I need some education on the subject matter, because I'm still
. Either that, or I'm just getting to that age where I remember when everything cost a nickel...
