Ok im stumped, rear window will go up but not down (not the relay)

Ok when you push the button or use the key, you can hear a click comming from the relay module. And if i put my own 12v to the motor the window will roll down perfect. plug everything back up, and the window will go up both with the key and the switch. Does this on both relay modules ive tried.

So my motor is good, i doubt both relays have the exact issue, and the wiring and switch is good. So im assuming there is a safetly switch that if not switched will keep the window from going up. what should i look for. Ive searched online and on every forum i can find and no one seems to have an answer for my issue. please help.

There is a safety switch in the tailgate.both latches have to
be closed. But that may stop everything.

My 1st gen has a similar problem, will not go down using console switch but will go up. Works fine using tailgate switch. Also, if the window is not up all the way (maybe 1/8" from totally closed) the console switch works fine. My interim solution is don't close the window all the way. I think it's a bad limit switch (tells control circuit window is closed all the way).

I just wired in a sunroof toggle DPDT switch as a temp, its nice to be able to use my hatch now. but id still like to actually fix the problem. ill check the switches, thanks for the tip
