I've been getting the same thing a lot lately.

I'm not a real negative person, but that message blows. I hate how it happens to me at least a few times a day and I have to refresh the page numerous times.

Apologize can be spelled either way, depending on what country you're in. For example. Australians almost always use "s" instead of "z"... cosy, apologise etc...

Databases are fun. I deal with them all day at work. and by fun I mean "pain in the ass".

Sounds like they are doing tons of server reboots - either their system is crashing, or they are doing tons of updates!

By "they" I mean the vBulletin servers, not the T4R.ORG one.

oh

well anyway, thats the least of our worries... lol

why do we all keep getting this message?!

european's usage of the letter 'u'

colour and honour.

i haven't gotten that message or anything so i guess im lucky.

Okay so I saw the same screen 3 times before being able to view the new posts. I checked this one out and snickered to myself. Well then I went to look at another post and got the message another 3 times. So now im here to rant about how the message irritates me. :bash:

I have been getting that a lot too. And a week ago the t4r.org wouldn't work when I typed it in. It said this forum was expired. There some weird stuff going on. O well its still all good

Guys -

The admin's and moderators are not full time. They have jobs, families and lives.

Web forums are sophisticated and shit happens.

Since the site if free, stop complaining.

We are all joking around. The mods do a great job. Calm yourself.

Damn son. Nobody is mad, just frustrated.

I'm not complaining, just saying, other forms I visit don't go down nearly as much and they are run by the same type of people.

I analyzed the error and it seems to be from "not enough connections", i.e. the forums have reached a critical mass of visitors. That would be my best guess. Try using the site off of peak hours (probably the evening when people get off work).

That may not work either...i was on the forum at around 6 am today...and had the same problem.

I don't have an answer for you guys...both I and Gatorgreg have very little understanding of forum software. So, bare with us. We're trying to get in contact with the BIG admin of multiple forums to try and fix this for us...and update the damn software for crying out loud! :D

Sorry that you guys have had this problem...trust me, i have too! :( And it sucks because i am hunting for the spammers...it does little good when i am being stopped in my tracks with this problem.

BTW, i am moving this thread over to GENERAL DISCUSSIONS since this thread has very little to do with 3rd gens.

Thanks to both of you (and the other admins) for working to alleviate the problem. I think we all just want this best for this forum. :)

When the April 1st joke came thru that T4R was going to charge for the site I offered a VERY beefy server free of charge (8 Xeon Cores, 4 gig RAM, 4 Raptors in RAID running under Linux or whatever), but got zero response.

It seems this server is probably sharing database access with other forum sites and they're running into limitations on the MySQL implementation. Sounds like T4R needs to get moved to something on its own that it can grow on without these errors or the hardware needs bumped up and limits increased.

Now, due to my unemployment status I probably couldn't convince my wife to give away free hosting but GatorGreg, if you're looking for server hardware/hosting at a good price, drop me a PM to discuss, or if you need any help on the server side as I've done System Admin / Network Engineering and stuff for many many years...

I've been offering free hosting or any type of assistance for helping with the site for a couple weeks now to them via PM's. Hopefully some of these issues can get resolved soon.

Yeah I need help in that I'm getting emails that my PM box is full and yet I come here and I have not a single message saved or otherwise.
