I've looked hard at this and couldn't see any water crossings, but that doesn't mean it's not there. Let's just hope the water isn't too high...

Anyone have an air compressor or power tank? I can get one if needed, leaning towards the viair portable. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions, I like the power tank just not the cost.

I need to get a CO2 system, it's on my list! These from wheelers look like a good buy. I read all brands freeze up with extended use, but you should be ble to get 2-3 trucks in a row.

Most of the tanks are all the same, it's the nicer regulators your buying. I don't air down much so a cheaper one would be fine for me.

My friend BloodyMary on Tacoma World is planning to come and he has a compressor. I'll probably take my cheapo compressor for backup. I have heard good things about the Vlair portables.

Just called down to book a cabin for that Friday at Clayton Lake and was informed that a church camp has booked all the cabins but tent sites are available.

I have heard good things about the Vlair portables.

I got the Viair 450P automatic last year.

VIAIR Corporation - 450P-Automatic Compressor (P/N 45043)

Its expensive ($250-300) but it's been a good little compressor so far. It takes my stock size LT Revo 2's from 20psi to 48psi (highway roadtrip pressure) in 3-4 minutes per tire. I wanted to get a CO2 setup but after much internal debate I went with the compressor. I figured that for similar costs, I'd use the compressor more for stuff around the house and I'd never have to refill a tank.

Anyone taken their 4Runner out west to little Sahara?

I do not check this often enough! Keep tagging me in posts! I went to Little Sahara with my roomie because he wanted to check out how his Range Rover would do off road.

Noone believed in us because "the sand was dry" and we "would never make it past 20 yards" but we showed them! Had a blast while doing so too. Never got stuck once in the 4runner but I did have to pull my roommate out 3-4 times. Still impressed at how the Range Rover did!

It's almost time for me to get new tires and I want to upgrade from my 265's to 285's. With the upgrade, I'm thinking about whether or not to get new rims. Opinions? Or Spidertrax and plastidip my wheels black instead?

I agree. I would keep the OE wheels. They're wide enough and I like the look.
