What day works for you

I plan to be in Oklahoma visiting friends and family during 6-7 and planned to wheel so this works out! Has anyone ever driven out at Little Sahara?

Little sahara is more fun on quads if you ask me. Dunno how much fun it would be with wheeling rigs.

Screw the poll haha. Its looking like alot of us are better off for the June date then? RJL, AlexB, JPB would prefer June. I can swing either so can my buddy I'm sure. Everybody else? Throw down your preferred date.

I'm thinking I might bring both 4runners, so the wife can get in on the action as well

I need to get a new intake manifold for the runner and also I'm starting a new job at keystone chevrolet so I am definitely for June. Things are kind of busy right now haha.

I'm gonna go ahead and put the date at June 22-23. So here it is so nobody misses it. Hope to see all of you that can make it there. As the date gets closer I'm sure we can work out specifcs (times, meeting places for those that may want to drive together, whatever). How many people who are coming have a CB?

JUNE 22-23
a_cent11 you should definitely bring both. Your 89 looks way to cool

I have one but im still having trouble getting signal on it... i would appreciate help with that. what kind of supplies should be brought? i have never done a trip like this? also my friend found out that he will be in michagan that weekend... oh well there will be more.

How is your SWR? Thats the only thing I can think of aslong as your whip is taller than your truck, and you didn't coil up the coax. Sucks about your friend. Maybe he can tag along on a different trip or something.

As far as supplies goes I really don't think you will need to "prep" much for this. Just regular camping stuff. I'll be bringing tools, some food and drinks, a spare CV or two if I can find some (I'll be trying some harder lines hopefully), and camping gear.

i was under the impression that you cannot tune whip antenns.

wohoo I'm glad the date is set, I don't have a CB...it could be fit in the budget though, would that be a good call? I don't know this trip will be popping my proverbial cherry as far as legitimate wheeling trips as stated many times before in this thread haha

That date should be fine with me. Ill clear it with everything in the next couple of days. For those who don't have a built in cb, you can buy hand-helds for very cheap. I should be bringing my camping gear, a few spare parts, tools, and any other items we might be wanting. Lets keep an eye on the weather and hope everything goes as planned!

Also, is anyone going to be running a compressor on their rig? I would like to air down, but only if someone can get me pumped back up.

Glad you can make it!
I'm working on one but I don't have it anywhere close to done so its a no from me. There is a gas station not to far from where we go wheeling there actually though. Takes quarters but it works for me. I'll be airing down either way so you'll have a buddy at the air pump haha:cheers:

Since it is the month of June, and I am a little OCD, I feel as if we should start getting confirmed answers so we can figure the size of the group we will be having.

And good thing on the compressor. I will be bringing a bag of shiny quarters. :reddance:

Okay, I am confirmed to go and have asked off. Everything on my rig should be up and running by then. I will have a bunch of goodies on too, so be prepared for that. Were talking a complete transformation haha. Anyway anyone thats south of Edmond or in Edmond should all meet up and caravan up. Let me know if anyone would be interested.

Just because it is the month of and this thread is looking a little dead, whos going to be going to this?

And is the date still June 22-23?
