Old Timers?

You are there man. In my mind anyone who lasts five years here is an old timer. Now, get off my lawn.

I work, bike, and spend time with my kids, otherwise have no life so plenty of time to hang out around here!

I feel like I'm between "generations" haha.

All I can say is that when 2014 hit, this forum became a turn off for me. At least in the 5th gen section. Definitely not what it used to be.

Ya' know.....

I don't think any "Old Timer" thread would be worth a shit without one thing....

We've only been just one mod away from meeting up with this guy again..

RIP Buddy...

Nice Pat. I was thinking of him when this thread started.

I'm missing eddiebx too, we shared quite a few pm's. On the same wavelength about stuff.

It was going downhill quick until Greg stepped in and busted some skulls.

He should change his username to 1SkullBuster.

Harper and Jesse got Audis.
Qjake traded for something
LimaMike also got rid of his. Can't remember what he got. A truck I think.
Lebengeek? No idea.

Thanks Greg. I knew of Jesse, of course but missed the other guys moving on. My main worry was Billy who I have tried contacting more than a few times without luck. Hope he is back to health and ok.

Yeah. Mike was a good man. Had his priorities right all the way to the end.

Eddie? I tries to contact him numerous times. No idea but there was never any indication in his last posts that he was ill or anything like that. I wish I knew because he truly was a great guy. This is one of the last threads he posted in. Check out post #41 in http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/168773-kdss-not-why-3.html#post1700607

I had spoken with Eddie several times. I spoke with Mike before he got sick. I talk to Jeff and Pat and Phil. I have spoken with many of you on the phone and we have a texting group with several of us old timers every now and then. Even though the 4Runner was the first common interest among us, after talking to a lot of you our lives are very similar.

It's inevitable, especially as we get older, that some of our friends (or us) will pass. The best thing to do is for each of us to live today to our fullest because who knows what tomorrow may bring. Tonight, when you have a beer or scotch or three make a quick, silent toast to the good guys we know or memories of the good guys we have known. I will.

Cheers!
