Old/Used vs New Parts

Just wondering when you go to buy parts for your vehicle say interior trim pieces, hood, seats etc do you buy old/used parts or do you buy new parts.

if that part works good, i'd take it over buying new any day. If it feels like it's gonna break i'd go new.

Sensors, belts, pulleys, rods, bushings, radiators and some major components (ALT, PS pump, motors) I'll buy new.

Otherwise, if it is in the junkyard, on CL, etc. for the right price, I'll bite.
