OME + 285s?

From my understanding the OME lift is 2.5inches. Is that enough clearance for 285 tires? I have a '97 by the way.

You might still have some rubbing issues at full turn, but there are guys on here that run 285s with the OME lifts. I am sure they will chime in. You may have to run some wheel spacers or top out plates for added clearance.

My old Revos are worn out so I'm shopping for new tires. Do I need wheel spacers to run 285's on my Toytec lift? I couldn't find a definite thread:hiding:

I've narrowed it down to:

285/75 Nitto TG's

285/75 Toyo Open Country AT

285/75 Pirelli Scorpion ATR's

as ive posted many times heres mine ome 882/891 stock 5 star wheels 1/4'' wheel spacer up front and 285s as you see theres miles of room all though i haven't stuffed the tires yet it

Ok, cool. So.. all I'll need is 1/4" spacers in the front for no rub? I know I'll have to trim the flares a bit too. I have 881's with the top plate spacers so they are essentially of 882 height

depending on which OME lift you get, you might have more/less rubbing (i.e. 881 vs 882's). And you have to also think about if you are going to get anything added later that might make it sag like a bumper/winch/skidplates...

Yeah I don't think I'm gonna put any of that on my truck. I have my eye on a 4R that's already decked out with all that stuff. My 02 will become my DD and the '99 I'm looking at would be the trail rig.

And elton thanks for the link I had been looking for the wheeler's spacers. Would it hurt to get 2 spacers for the back wheels too?
