Ome 883

Is anyone here using the OME 883's? What kind of lift would you get from this? Toytec says 1.5", but they also say that you'll get 2" with the 884's and no top plate spacer but most people are getting 3" without the spacer. I don't want to get the 884's and be sitting too high.

883 are the "Leveling" spring so it shouldn't add much height. Are you looking to lift of level?

I'm looking to lift. I like the 3/2 look so I am planning on doing 884's with Superflex's on the rears. I am a little hesitant because I see a lot of people getting more than 3" with the 884's.

BTW, I sent you a message earlier today.

Momo has the 884s I have 885s Cuz my bumper. Yes you did! I just saw that actually. That was me! We were going to that Halloween store next to target. I'll send you a PM

Looking for some more info on this. I am just a little worried I am going to get too much lift (more than 3") out of the 884's. I read somewhere a guy used the 883's and got 2.25 of lift. What if I did 883's with a 1/4 spacer?

Keep in mind that springs will settle after a bit so if they are a bit high for taste
Out of the box, run for a month it will settle

I am a tad late to the party, but has anyone used the 883s? I am looking at doing the OME low lift offered by Slee, and I've struck out finding someone else who has done this.

How much lift did you get with the 885s and the front bumper? and How much does the bumper weigh or what kind is it? I don't know if I should order 885s or 886s to get 3" of lift after it settles out.

I run 884s on Bilstein 5100s set on the second notch (.85) and I think I've got like 3.5" of lift up front and SuperFlex coils in the rear.

Dont wanna replace UCA's

I'm looking at the same thing! I'm told by slee they cant get the alignment completely correct even at just 2" BUT everything I've read on t4r.org says anything below 2.5" doesnt need UCA's. I'm anal about having it right though.

Mine is a V8 limited which weights a little more too?

I really dont wanna replace my UCA's if I dont have to.

I'm sitting right at 3.5" lift and the techs were able to get my truck aligned in spec with stock UCA's.

Nothing against Slee but give Cruiser Outfitters (Cruiser Outfitters) a call. I always buy my parts from them and just ordered an OME suspension for my truck. I didn't write down what they recommended but should get an email verification soon with the specifics.

You also have to consider the actual amount of lift differs from vehicle to vehicle. That could be due to how much your vehicle is sagging already due to old worn out parts. For example on my truck both front shocks were shot so it was sitting pretty low, with my 3" toytec bilstein lift it was over 3" gained due to the condition of the shocks originally. I gained like 3 3/4" in the front as opposed to someone with a vehicle with good shocks might not even get a full 3" with the same setup. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks! I havnt come across cruiser outfitters yet. I also have a v8 limited and want to add additional performance and lift without screwing up alignment or uneven wear on my 265 tires- I dont want to replace my UCA's but want it perfect. I just emailed "Kurt" at cruiser outfitters... waiting to hear a reply. Im guessing an 884 combo set up would be perfect for me? I dont want to go above 2" of lift for these reasons

Ive also got 3/16" weld on sliders coming and lower control arm armor. Future may bring diff skid too but that is it- no bumpers or winch

Mine arrived but I'm out of state so can't look up what exactly I ordered. Kurt's out of the country but his guys know their stuff. I ordered through Ben. You won't get more than 2-2.5" out of any OME, they design their stuff for performance, durability and stability rather than throwing together assorted parts to provide lift.

You'll be well set for the majority of trails in our fine state. What part are you in? I'm in Aurora/Denver. If you're in the Front Range check out frontrange4x4.com

Kind of a refresh on this thread, but wondering how this worked out for you Smoked?

Im currently running OE 886's with 5100's all the way around, and I still have a TON of flex in my UCA's.

Worried Im either going to blow another strut (factory ones blew) or snap a coil at some point, but I really dig the amount of lift. Im going to add some underplating and weld on sliders, but not really sure if I want to go the bumper/winch route yet and now wondering if I can keep these coils or if I have to go through the whole swap out again (which is a HUGE PITFA).

Thanks!

I ended up getting a Toytec Boss kit with JBA upper control arms. Figured, might as spend the money up front, do it right, and not worry while on the trails. Very happy with the setup. Cheers
