OME 884 w/ FJ coils plus daystar 1.5'' in rear?

I have OME 884's and am considering installing these and am wonder how FJ coils plus a daystar 1.5'' spacer would look in the rear paired with 884's up front with no top plate spacer. Shocks will be bilstein 5100's all around with the fronts set at bottom setting.

Wondering if this will look nose high? Has anyone seen this before?

The reason I ask is I already have daystar 1.5" spacers and am debating going the route mentioned above to save some cash for other mods or just buy some superflex's for the rear.

Side note: I plan on running 265/70/17, 275/70/17's or 285's, I haven't made up my mind yet. :becky:

884's will give you about 2.5" of lift. If you put FJ springs in the rear plus a spacer, then you will still have some rake. This is because the rear already stands about 2" higher than the front to begin with. I say move forward, it should look great!

884's are a bit lower than 885's, that's why toytec recommends the spacer to get the full 3"

I have 884's with the top plate spacer and 5100's on the lowest position, It rides a little stiff but i'm happy with it, the rear is set up with Landcruiser coils which are a tad taller so I have a slight rake.

I've been thinking of removing the spacer and setting the 5100's on the next position to see if the ride improves, but to be honest it's a rush compressing the 884's :fear:

Miller, keep the spacer and the spring perch on the lowest setting. Pre-loading the springs will only make them feel stiffer.

Miller507 how do your 285's fit with the 884's and the spacer? I know I'm to expect some trimming and potential BMC, but just curious how they do with your set up in the front?

I can't really say, because I had spacers before the 884's so i did trim a bit and I also took the mudflaps off, no BMC tho...
You might get away with it.

CamRunner I actually did not go with this setup. I ended up buying toytec superflex rear coils to pair with the OME 884. Plan on installing them this Saturday.

Haha that's my other option I'm looking at. I worry that I will think the superflex sits too high in the rear though. Most say you get 2.25" with the superflex and the 884s will give you a little less than 3" I believe? Maybe exactly 3".

Please do post pics still! It must feel nice to have finally decided on the setup lol.

This is what i have in front, rides OK i guess. Also use the no-spring compressor method, its very easy, safe, and fairly quick. I did both sides of mine in about an hour each.
