OME Coils + Bilstein 5100?

Anyone in here running OME coils with 5100's?

How much lift do the 885 coils give ? I was planning on setting the 5100s at .75' setting, and running the 885 OME coil. Wouldn't that give me over 3 inches of lift, closer to about 3.25'?

Thank you!

Yes, they work well. I went with heavy duty OME coils due to winch and ARB bumper on front and tire gate spare tire carrier on back. 3" of lift is about right. Feels fine on road and never bottoms out on high speed dirt roads in the Mojave. Good luck!

also running the heavy 886's with 5100s in the stock hight position. netted just over 3.25" of lift after they settled with a 130lb bumper on the front

So if I set it at .85 and get 885s on top, it should give me around 3.25 inches of lift right? Stock front bumper.

I heard somewhere that you can't lift over 3 inches with KDSS? Is this true? If so why can't you?

You will probably be closer to 4" if you set the 5100's @.85, I would set them to stock height if you want closer to 3". You could run 883's @.85 and you will be be right under 3" of lift if you wan't to go that route. If you don't plan on running a bumper, extra battery etc. I would run 884's or 883's as either are stiff with no load in front. 885's would be pretty rough ride with no real load on them.

I ran the 886s on 5100s with no load and found the ride to be enjoyable and sporty. I'd have felt I made a terrible decision if I went with one of the lesser rated springs.

Maybe the 5100s are softer than the Emu struts and shocks? I know running down some ranch roads at high speeds I wouldn't want the suspension any stiffer without a load on it. Any way I guess everyone likes there ride different and anything is better than the stock springs!

So how much lift do the 885 coils give alone? When I find that out then I can see if I want to set it at stock height or .85

I have the 884s on bilstein 5100s on the lowest perch. I got somewhere close to 2.5" of lift. My guess is you would be close to 3" with 885 on the lowest perch.

I am confused because some guys have said that they put 885s on the lowest perch and got over 3' of lift on their 4th gen. Isn't the suspension all the same? So it should yield the same amount of lift more or less compared to a 5th gen right?

I just ordered the following:

OME 885 Coils
Light Racing UCAs
Toytec Superflex Rear Coils
Front Diff Drop

Stuff should be coming in this week. Now, how much lift do the 885 coils give with no load or bumper in the front?
