OME lift which do I need? Where to buy.

Hi guys,

I have been doing some searching for a while and have been reading up on lift kits. I think I want the OME kit but am not sure which exact parts to buy such as hard medium soft etc...

I use my runner for mostly daily driving but would like to do some light offroading in the future. I also have an 18ft boat that I pull in the summer. The main reason I want to buy is my runner is sagging bad in the back.

It is a 1999 4 Runner SR5 4x4 with 80k. I bought it a year and a half ago and 15k less. If someone could tell me which kit would work best for my needs that would be great.

Also when changing the oil I noticed that I have Bilstein Shocks and Struts. I did not put these on and the previous owner must have but I have no records of how old they are. Do you think it would be wise to use these with the new springs or should I spring for a new set?

And lastly, what else should I do to make the ride better when having the springs done. I noticed some people mentioned changing the bushings, what ones should I get and where do you think is the cheapest place to order these parts online.

I see the kits on there however do you think I should go for new shocks and struts too? I don't really know how to tell if these ones are still good and I have no idea how old they are. They are the Bilsteins so I imagine they last pretty long.

What about the bushings redo those also?

Do you think the price is good at the place you listed?

Unless you are comitted to OME I suggest you contact Downey Off Rd in CA (http://www.downeyoff-road.com.....562.949.9494) I think they are the most kmnowledgeable on anything Toyota and provide great information, parts & service. I've a 004R w/2in downey lift and some other toys - but thekit - fr/rr shocks & springs was great value (IMO) easy to install and works great. They are great to talk to on the phone if you want good info while shopping/
