OME springs marked "A" and "B"

Got my OME 890's. Installed them today. The springs were marked "A" and "B". I assume "A" is drivers side and "B" is passenger side. Am I correct?

Does one stand any taller? Or have more wraps? I think the lc coils have light 1/2 or 1/4 more wrap on the drivers one. Just a thought.

No. Same height, same wraps. The LC springs typically do but I had two sets of LC springs so I split them up into two matching pairs. My truck sat dead level with the LC springs like that.

Bigger coil goes on drivers side to account for extra weight from gas tank. Don't remember which is which though. Isn't too hard to check haha.

A is driver side and B is passenger, you are correct.

Correct, for the 890 and 891. Other coils may not apply (like ones that are not specified for the 4runner). I am running the 861 "B" coil on the drivers side. This is due to the fact that it is spec'd for the Fj80 LC.

I know I'm waking the dead, but I wanted to post this in case someone else stumbles upon this thread like I did.

A is taller and should go on drivers side

Depends on the spring set. Most one springs are Aus made and not us specific. Slee has a great write up on it and I run 851s and the backwards opposite coordinating sides. Brought me almost level. Running them incorrectly gave 2 inches of lean

From what I have read in the front you want the taller on the drivers side to make up for the driver. On the back you want the taller on the passenger side to make up for the torque of the vehicle.

I put my 906s in the rear with the taller (the "A") on the driver's side to compensate the gas tank. Sits dead level.

This shows the difference:

Or you could not even look at the letters and stand them side by side on a level surface. I just did that 2 weeks ago with my 861's. One was taller by about 3/8" so that one went on the drivers side.

That little tidbit is also posted all over this thread.

I was asking specifically for the rear springs.

When searching for an answer, I read since the front spring driver's side is taller, the rear spring might be higher on the opposite side to affect the cross weight. I dont know enough to answer the question but know enough to get myself in trouble thinking about it.:lookout:
