having fun

I have search and can't find what I need, HELP.
I have at current time a leveling kit ( spacer ) set up installed, going to change the fronts over to ome 885's and 5100's. This is on a 08 w/ v6. Getting ready to convert bumper to SW w/ winch.

If I recall, I had to remove and discard the rubber spacer from factory setup and change the studs to longer. Question is do I need to put the factory size studs back in along with getting new rubber spacer to due this install.

Will be leaving the spacer kit in the back for now as I have a modfied coilover shock added to the rear made for a 1/2 ton ( monroe ). 1200 lb shock. It kick it up another 1/4 inch in the rear, but, ok as I tend to load my rig down on occation and pull a trailer at times.

you will need the rubber spacer from the factory strut assembly as well as the top plate. I believe you can get away with the long studs as long as theres enough thread on them to allow the nuts to tighten after install. If theres not enough thread then yes you'll need the factory studs or a thread die to cut more threads on the studs.

You have to find the right lenght shock to make this work, they had to pull the rubber gromite out of the revtek shoch and insert it into the new one. The Monroe shock lower mounting hole is smaller in size and he had to press it in with special adhesive. This is a black smith spring shop.

The one I used was a fraction taller, that's where the 1/4 inch increase in height came from.

We had to use the factory top plate.

The ride is a little stiffer like having medium duty coil spring and still has the absorbtion like you want. Back end doesn't drop much when under a load. I was a little worried about him doing this, but, a great ride and a life time gauranty on the shocks.

um... so whats the purpose of 4 coil springs in the rear? did you remove the two main coils? otherwise the extra coil springs arn't doing anything other than preventing full tuck.. curious...

Still have the factory coil springs in the rear with the spacer lift. Just replaced the shocks with the modified coil shocks. Makes it like having a medium duty coils and shocks.
