Out of curiosity what is your reasoning? I mean I know everyone has preferences but at night if I'm alone I don't see why I need to unlock all the doors just to get in.

Just like How I wonder why people remove the running boards, i think it looks ugly with the running boards off. Mainly drivers who are tall don't need it. I need running boards for short women or elderly people who ride in my vehicle. Same applies to the unlock all door function.
Its mainly because i always have passengers with me and I selfishly press it once for myself and get in and they always stand there waiting for me to unlock the door for them. It gets tiring pressing the button twice everytime as a habit, i tend to forget. So yeah, you are right. different preferences for different folks.
Plus, for safety. if someone were really trying to get into my vehicle. They would have followed me anyways driver side and point a gun at me if they really wanted to rob me. I will take my chances since I am not in a high crime ridden city with lots of homicides. If I was, I wouldn't have considered this as an option.
Now if you really want to get into safety and security, when you go add gas to your car. Do you leave your keys in the vehicle and stand outside waiting for someone to hijack your car while it is unlocked and you are filling up your gas? lol. I have yet to see a logical person lock up their car and add gas while waiting outside, or sit in the car while refueling with doors locked(because you have to get out anyways when it is done ) Point is, i can't always be looking over my shoulder scared. otherwise i would never leave the house. :hurt:
