One roof rack mounts

I have a 20lb co2 tank for filling my tires and I was looking for a way to mount it to my stock/oem roof rack on my 2000 4runner..

This is the mount I was going to use for the tank but trying to come up with ideas on how to mount this to my rack.

I found these but I feel like they won’t hold up over time based on some of the reviews..

If anyone has any other suggestions on how/where to mount it I’m open to it, just don’t really want to put it inside cause that can be dangerous right? I know I could get a rear bumper w/ swing out but don’t really want to spend that much right now..

Guys store Powertanks inside their rigs all the time without issue, it's your preference though.
the holder you linked I've used for other tanks, it's sturdy, and you can pin it shut.

Well if that’s what folks are doing I’m not to worried then.. Still would be nice to mount it outside though as I want to be able to sleep in the back..

I’m either thinking of getting that co2 bracket and mounting it directly to my roof rack with some small u bolts.. OR try to figure out a good solid way to mount it in the rear cargo area, I don’t mind the co2 tank inside I just want to be able to secure it in place..

You could always sandwich the crossbars between the tank mount and a piece of steel.

That’s not a bad idea at all.. I have some super stout/thick angle aluminum laying around the house, maybe I could try to figure something out with that.. thanks!
