Only drivers door unlocks with aftermarket fob

Did some google'ing, found a lot about newer VWs having an issue and some Xterra stuff. Nothing very conclusive.

Searched this forum and found a lot about the stock FOB and reprogramming it.

So, short story long, bought my '03 Sport used from a dealer. They installed an after market Code Alarm system as both an alarm and remote lock/unlock.

The aftermarket FOBs fell apart and would no longer work to lock/unlock. Went about 4 months using just the key in the drivers door or the switch on the drivers door to lock/unlock.

Purchased a different aftermarket alarm. Was very careful mapping out the old system and matching it up with the new system before disconnecting anything. Everything matched up with the old, I used the old splice points to connect he new. No new wires were cut and there are no opens.

After installing the new system everything works but only the drivers door will unlock when the FOB is used. It doesn't matter the amount of times I press the unlock of the FOB...2x or 8x times...only the drivers door will unlock.

All doors will lock with the FOB. Using the key in the drivers door works as normal as does the switch on the drivers and passengers door.

I would put the old system back in to test put I have no FOB to test with. It did work fine before the FOBs fell apart about 4 months ago.

Kind of at a loss right now. Been looking over so much wiring I started going cross eyed. Taking a break and asking for help.

Is there a way to program the alarm to send a double unlock pulse? You might need a double pulse to get all the doors to unlock...

You can probably program the door lock system to work to your liking if you buy one of the OBDII-USB cables with a copy of the Toyota Techstream software on Ebay. Things you can program are turning the DRL on or off, how long the interior lights stay on, how the door locks work to unlock one or all the doors, whether the doors lock when you put it in gear or reach a certain speed and unlock when you stop and how the rear window/rear door works among others. I tried turning on the DRL but since I don't have the special turn signal relay it didn't change.

I'm pretty sure it's along the lines of what eddiebx is talking about. The instructions are so lame they are just about useless. I think I entered the "program mode" and can get the system to respond to inputs but cannot figure out what is needed to set the double pulse mode (or what ever it's called).
