OnStar Mods???

Has anybody installed an OnStar system in the 4Runner? Is it even possible to get the parts aftermarket? Since I am now seeing ads for the Acura RL with OnStar, I guess it is not a totally GM only feature now. Let me know what you guys think.

Onstar is very integrated into the vehicle, and Acura licensed it's use from Hughes/GM... Closest thing you'll get for it's safety features are some of the atermarket things such as:


ADT Mobile Safety

Thanks for your help. The links were informative. It sucks that it is so integrated, though. Would have been a great mod. Plus, would love to "borrow" GMs technology.
