Oops-Drained Transmission Fluid

I unscrewed the wrong bolt! I have a dip stick on my 03 V6, so I added more fluid until it read normal. I can't remember what type I put in there, but I believe it was the recommended type.

Did I mess it up? It's been fine the last few weeks.

Ideas or am I OK.

If you used Toyota Type IV compatible you should be fine. If you didn't consider having it changed.

Yes I believe I did, castrol from autozone...I didn't drain it all though, just until I discovered the strange looking oil on my hand. I then put the screw back in, filled it up, put it in all gears, checked again, filled a bit, level looked good.

Fingers were crossed...was hoping for a don't worry about it...so thanks...

You're fine, I would have gone with Toyota fluid myslef, but its not a big deal.
