I love this design. Only thing I would take out is the 2016. Other than that, its awesome ;-)

The teq riff is a little close to last year's badge (see pic). Great minds think alike though. I dig the incorporation of the old school T in your other design though. Were you going to include the year in that design?

Not much of an artist so I don't have any drawings.
So how about doing a Retro badge with a 1st gen 4Runner, since that's when it all started. Then later on, say next year do a 2nd gen, year after that a 3rd gen and so on.

Here is my humble submission on paper....

I would probably change it to say "1984--2016", instead of just 2016, so it would cover all 4runners. The wording on the top would be centered in the final version.

That is supposed to be a rack with equipment on the top, but that detail would probably be too fine now that I think about it.

Sorry if 1984 wasn't the first year...I went to Wikipedia for my info.

Thanks! I was pretty vocal about a 2016 badge so I figured I had to contribute some sort of design. ) It's nice to hear that some folks out there seem like like my idea.

As an alternative for the slogan, "32 Years of Adventure" might work better (instead of "Adventuring"? Thoughts anyone?) I do really like having
1984-2016 surrounded by two dots (or two stars, like the ones from the first badge?) on the bottom to show that there is a heritage and that all 4runners are connected.

[MENTION=124732]LawnDart[/MENTION] if you have a 4runner side profile pic and want to upload it that would be cool. I can only seem to find 3/4 front profile pics. I think any general photo would work; a decent photo is what is really needed since I'm guessing most of the detail will get lost. You have a stock front bumper so that works and I know you have a rear tire carrier, which is awesome, but I'd rather omit it from the final design badge design since most folks don't have one. I'm sure that would be pretty easy to do right [MENTION=133128]Warrocket[/MENTION]?

By the way, I've seen the t-shirt; I'm probably going to order one myself. ) I ordered two other "cruiser" designs for my father.

I imagine the final version being very similar to the FJ badge below (side profile), but maybe some rugged rocky terrain instead of a straight line (if that is possible)?

Edit: Just some thoughts for the group, we had only lettering/words last year so I was hoping we'd get something with graphics, ideally a depiction of a 4runner in some fashion, for 2016. The 2015 badge was just lettering and it is still for sale as an option and doesn't have the year on it so someone could pick it up at any time and it would still be "ok" on their 4runner; if the 2016 badge was just lettering again I think the guys who already have one might be less likely to get another. The 2015 and 2016 FJ badges were pretty sweet, I think it would be cool to have something along those lines. Having the year on it also makes it a bit more collectible. Even if I wasn't going to put it on my car, if the 2016 design was cool and said "2016" on it I'd pick it up just to have it. Just my thoughts...

Here is another option...

1st gen profile on top
5th gen profile on bottom

Given the size of the badge, I'm not sure how feasible this option is. Out of the two I prefer the first design more, but if it is detailed enough (you can really distinguish between each generation) badge #2 could be interesting and might bring more folks into the fold.
