Given the size of the badge, I'm not sure how feasible this option is. Out of the two I prefer the first design more, but if it is detailed enough (you can really distinguish between each generation) badge #2 could be interesting and might bring more folks into the fold.

Maybe have them sharing a set of wheels. You can make them bigger and take up less space.

Have the 1st gen upside down facing left and the 5th gen upwards facing right, use a rough, thick, squiggly line to indicate a trail and at that line the wheels should touch. The 1st gen being the "shadow" facing the past and the 5th gen facing the future (since this is a mostly Western populated forum, the left = past/backwards, right = future/forward should bee somewhat more obvious)

Well let this run through New Years since we're getting some new ideas coming in! Keep in mind, while I'll polish up the sketch type entries if they win, traditionally the more finished appearing submissions get more votes. So dust off that photo shop. Also, keep in mind that only solid colors can be used in the badges, so don't worry about shading or effects.

Thanks !!! I was trying to do something different that didn't exclude specific generations by using imagery of one gen over another. I think the colors should probably changed since I just went greyscale to get the idea out quickly.

Some very nice designs going on! Im a fan of the last two options with the 'x' rather than the wrenches but that's if I really had to choose. All of them are nice !
