Opinions On These Rims

I'm thinking of picking up these rims, but not sure about them. They are only $75 for all four and will give me the extra width I have been looking for. I will have to get new tires (was going to anyways), but not 100% sure it will look good on my 4runner. I will paint them black for reference.

tires for 17" wheels are substantially more expensive. Be prepared for that.

Other than that, paint them something besides chrome and they will be just fine.

Go for it. For that price you'd be dumb not to. If you dont like them after you paint and mount them you can always sell them and probably make a profit.
 
I know tires will be more expensive and that is one of the things that is stopping me, but I'm planning on getting some Treadwrights so it's only $30 more for 17's.
 
Tires for 17's are neck and neck with 16's anymore. In some cases I was finding the 17" sized tires cheaper than the 16's actually.
 
Yeah I've been wanting some 275/70/17's. I feel they are a perfect size for someone not wanting to go full 33's (285/70/17), but wants something bigger than 265/70/17's.
 
I don't think they look very good for a truck, but paint them black and it might hide some of that. For that price, they can look like crap and still be a good deal. I'd definitely buy them, and like stlfan said, you could always sell them for probably more than $75
 
I would totally get them if you paint them a darker color. Heck, even if you don't. $75 for a set is cheap enough to where you won't care if you beat them up on the trails (or mall curbs depending).

hoppin curbs at the mall check, flexin out on parking deviders check, and jumpin speed bumps oh yeah were ballers!
 
at first I was kinda iffy, but once they are black and with some beefy tires on em theyd look good. Especially on your 4runner with the lift

Mall crawling for sure bro! I have to get some sliders for the parking pillars. They will scratch my paint job bad if not.

Haha, yeah I was expecting that. I'm not too keen on them, but for $75 they could do for the time being.

I ended up passing for the time being. I'm not sure if they will look good at all and my 5 stars are fine. I might go for some Tundra rims depending on the email I get back from the person selling them. :thumb3:
