Opinions on valve cover gaskets needed

Hi all,

I need to replace my valve cover gaskets soon. With money being tight, I need to know what are your opinions about Felpro vs. OEM. I have heard good things about them (thanks Jon!), but I am still partial to OEM.

If there's anyone else who has used this kit please let me know how it worked for you. I would like to know the general consensus. If I can do this for 70-80 dollars in parts, instead of 150-160, it would make the wife REALLY happy.

I've used Fel-Pro gaskets for years - more than most of you have been alive! I've never had any issues with them and found fit and quality to be as good as any OEM. I changed my valve cover gaskets a couple of weeks ago and used Fel-Pro. Fit was perfect.

I used the felpro kit with tube seals. Got the fipk from toyota and replaced my maifold gaskets while I had apart along with plugs. Suggest getting wire insulators to replace old because they will probably break while breaking down engine. Over a year since mine, no leaks. Mark all wires and hoses during breakdown. If you search there are some good tutorials. Good luck!

FelPro is good to go; I used them when I redid my valve covers.
