Opt7 leds

Do any of you know of someone making an LED light bar mount for our 5th gens above the windshield? I'd like to have one above my windshield but I also don't want to spend $1k+ on a roof rack to do so.
You could see if the ones downpour11 sells for the 4th gen will work, the bodies are similar enough in width I bet it would

Hi alan,

Looks like OPT7 makes/sources alternative mounting accessories; I just found this and other hardware kits; mounts directly on roof(?) check this link...

Hi tech team,

Before I go any further w/this thread I just wanted to say a few things,

...Doesn't matter what the thread is about or who's writing it, there always comes someone that wants to tear down the objective product and the peace of mind that comes with the dabbling in the hobby and writing about it! Their criticism is "Baseless", and has but one objective... only to be disruptive at all cost by drawing attention to themselves! I tend to read all of your threads ever since I'd become a member here back in 2012, when I bought the 4R. ...And I've seen it happen to you too where you'll simply be sharing, exchanging and answering questions about your post and suddenly the positive vibe turns. The people that jack the thread don't have anything to offer the community, their only hope is to draw other miserable souls in ..."Just for company"!

Just to be clear: "I really don't mind when we have dissimilar points of view and spend a little time bringing those points to the table; it makes the subject that much more interesting and to me, much more educational. But to argue over a product that you have had no previous (bad) experience with and speculate that it is a bad product with no grounds for your "apologetic's" ...is just bizarre!

P.S: Please do not waste my time with this child's play; or anyone else's!

WTF did you even just say?
Some of us actually have an idea of what we are talking about regarding these types of products, whether its with this specific product or not.

Dude, you posted pictures of photoshopped cars as an example of mounting options with a link to a wiring harness, while I actually provided a feasible source for such a mounting bracket for a 4runner specific application.

So who is really helping the community, and who sounds like a shill?

Lighten up Francis.

Just for the record... the photos that I found were in response to alangranview question about mounting a light bar directly on the roof w/o a roof rack. The photos were uploaded directly from the ebay website... and I posted the link to that same page. I have no reason to "Dr them up"! I have no affiliation w/ OPT7, nor do I have any vested interest in making them look good. "CRACK-IS-WACK...YOU NEED A REALITY CHECK!!!!!" No one is going around altering pictures to post here on this website! Get Real!

The ones from the ebay site are photoshopped, they don't make mounts

We will be making them before the end of the year - i need to find a 5th gen to mock them up on.

Haven't posted here really at all. Been thinking of starting a thread about this roof mount to see if anyone had an experience with the NFab roof mount for the 10-14 4Runner? Manufacturers of high quality Nerf Steps, Prerunners, Harley Bars, Light Bars, Replacement Front Bumpers, Rock Rails, Rear Runners, Tire Carriers & Truck Accessories

How are these mounting down? Self tap from the inner door side?

Yeah they mount the same as the 4th gen mounts with self tappers in the gutter rail as you can see in the N-Fab pic.

I have a set of 4th gen mounts on a customers rig and he has had zero issues. Seals up great and real sturdy.

Recieved the A.O.B. switches yesterday. OPT7 14" inch light bar came in today. Packaged nicely. Was putzin in the garage hooked it up to 12 amp battery charger switched to 6 amp. Light works nicely. Unit appears to be well constructed. Will check light output when it gets dark. Just checking form and function now. Will mount it down the road.

i bought the H11's they offer.. weren't bright at all.. they say "fogs" but they were pretty much a "city light" so i'm returning them.. OH and one of them, one of the lcd panels were flickering when i turned it on.. (didn't even bother with the 2nd one) i'm returning them
