red top - starting battery
yellow - deep cycle
blue - deep cycle, marine with wing nuts to use on the terminal also,
blue and yellow is mostly the same thing.
stick with Odyssey Batteries
they are the main battery company, optima buys them and relable them with a 100+ dollar extra tag. plus the spiral cell on optima has less power then odyssey.

since when did exide makes odyssey? odyssey is still under enersys, i think exide buys from them and put there lable on too. i knoe for sure stinger, kenitik, xs power, all those car audio battery are all rebage odyssey with a heavy price tag. just shop around and u might be able to find something simular. i knoe i bought a kenitk from audio savings and it was the cheapest price i can find. got a hc800 in the trunk, close to a honda size battery, but if only i can buy another pc1700mjt ill throw it in the trunk for good.Wow.
You did at least get the color coding correct.
Odyssey and Optima are only the same in that they are "acid free" batteries. Odyssey appears to be owned by Exide currently. Optima is owned by Johnson Controls. Optima is their own manufacturer and was acquired at some point by JCI. I don't know if Odyssey was stand alone and acquired by Exide or if its simply a brand/division that Exide created for the AGM market.
The 3rd main US auto battery maker is East Penn. It's pretty much a given that any battery you buy in the US is made by one of these three OEMs and badged per a particular vendor's requirements.
Die Hard Platinums are/were rebadged Odysseys...reportedly sometimes available for less $$$ than the Odyssey equivalent. Lower level Die Hards could be JCI, Exide, or East Penn depending on who won the last contract bid.
