optima battery

i just got a brand new optima deep cycle yellow top battery for my T4R and i doesnt exactly fit.... is there any way i can keep it in place so it wont slide off or tip under my hood?

optima makes a spacer. search, its been covered very recently

I recently got one and I had to lower the nut that holds it to the fuse box and then move the bolt on the front to a bolt closer to the passener side. Then just wedge something in that will hold it.

First of, you need the reverse terminals or you need to take it somewhere to get the cables extended.

Second, you need to put some wood or rubber under it or find a spacer. Sometimes Optima ships a spacer.

As was stated they do make a spacer for the Optima. Personally I just used a few of the rubber coil spring spacers and they work fine. I messed up and didn't realize I needed the reverse terminals, but Optima clearly states the battery can sit in any position, even upside down, so I just laid mine on it's side and it has been fine for the last 3-4 months.

Instead of laying it on it side I could get enough stretch out of my negative terminal, I just had to more the small piggyback ground. For the positive cable I bought a foot long battery cable at advanced and bolted it as an extension and wraped it in electrical tape.
