Optimal psi for ko2's 275/55r20 highway / off rd psi?

Hard core off roaders will know; what psi's do you use? and pressure down to?

Got ko2's 275 / 55 r20 LT's with nice aftermarket metal mayham (aluminum?) wheels that came with the truck and was a selling feature to me; but not as off roadish as Id like. Dealership and spec says 32 psi all around; LT tires are a little different ... yes?

What's the optimal psi for highway / off road? Highway being least rolling resistance; least even ware; different for summer / winter?

Best gravel pothole-ish logging road at speed psi?

Best cushy crawling without pinching and popping sidewall pressures?

I've got KO2s but 285/70/17. I did a ton of research on this before I came to:

On road: 40 PSI
Washboarded well graded FS road 28-30
Rough FS road, mild trail, or s9ft beach 20-25,
Rough trail 18ish

I also read reports of 15 working well, but you better have a spare so that if you pop a bead you are screwed.

In reality, I do 40 PSI on road and then 20 PSI for any offroad. I've never felt the need to go lower. They feel great at 20 PSI.

There’s a tire guide that helps to determine the proper inflation pressure when going from P to LT tires based on GVWR. (You can find it using google). I calculated 38psi with that guide. That said, I’m also running the 285/70/17 at 40 psi on the road at the moment and it feels great. I air down to about 25 psi for FS roads and it feels good to me. I’ll likely air down more if the trail is super gnarly

I'll have to look this up; having r20 wheels; and thus lower side walls at 55 should make a bit of a difference.

Awesome info thanks; just wanted to confirm what I suspected; 10 yrs ago I had quite a to-do with the tire tecs at Costco when I installed the original ko that were soft and wore fast LT 265 75's r15 on stock rims on an old ladder framed pathfinder. Originally they said run them at 45 psi; until I saw centre ware; then it was 40; but damage was done at that point; they replaced 2 tires for free.

The newer ko2s are better and supposedly ware slower; but not as good on wet pavement.

I bought 4r-er with em on it; kind-a hard to swap out; Id much prefer the 265 70 r17's but I'll run these to see how they work over the winter then maybe sell / swap with another.

The metal mayhem custom dubs do look awesome. LedZep :drum: ooooh yea .... da da da da da ho yea; drum solo ... been a long time since I R&R.
