Options for coil pack electrical connectors

While tearing into things today I snapped the clip of an electrical connector going to one of my coil packs. I know yotashop sells fuel injector connectors with pig tails. Anyone know of a way to buy coil pack electrical connectors with pig tails? Or is the only option that I just head to the yard and pull one and cut the wire high enough that I can easily solder into my setup once home?

I actually did finally find that after posting last night. But thanks on the confirmation.

Any idea how hard it is to pull the wires and swap connectors?

Disassembling connectors is a pita. Some are easier then others but it is a frustrating process.

This is your best option if you don't want to go the junkyard route: 1998 TOYOTA 4RUNNER 3.4L V6 Ignition Coil Connector | RockAuto.

Be sure to solder and not use a butt connector or something less secure if you choose to repair the wiring instead of the connector since that spot sees a lot of vibration and heat and those connectors won't hold up and eventually lead to a misfire condition.

When removing or replacing old connectors I just smash the old one to pieces to get the wire connectors out. Not like you need the old broken one anymore. If it goes poorly just snip it off and solder instead.

I’m interested in finding the coil side connector. I’m really itching to get 3 MSD6a’s and see how it does for MPG improvement.

Here are my connector sources (both 100% reliable for me, spent so much $ with both of them lol):

Corsa technic

Ballenger motor sports

You'll have to find what they are. There probably is a terminal lock you will need to pop off (seperate piece) then carefully lift up the terminal lock. I use a mixture of paper clips, sewing pins, picks to get the connectors apart.

Alright I used [MENTION=10169]TheDurk[/MENTION] trick of adding 90980 in front of the numbers printed on my OEM connectors and they came back a perfect match from local dealer so I picked up both coil pack and fuel injector connector housings I needed. I then ordered after market connectors with pig tails in case I botched the wire pins trying to get them out. Also ordered the 41 piece wire pin removal kit listed above. Armed with all those parts and my soldering iron I got to work.

Removed intake to gain access to connectors slipped the old connectors off since nothing held them on at this point. Laid a rag down under all the connectors...Then I took [MENTION=115347]gamefreakgc[/MENTION] que and smashed the old connectors making sure not to damage the pins :lmao:

Re-pinned all parts with OEM connectors. Rockauto parts are in box with return shipping label. And I'll just hold on to the pin removal kit incase I need it one day since it was cheap.
