dont buy paint online, find paint store in your aree that sell factory paint.

the only way you will get "factory" paint is to go to a local toyota dealer and pay big bucks for your paint. More than likely they will not be able to get a spray can anyway. Repairs shops dont's use factory paint.

are you implying that this guy is going to or should use a rattle can to paint a car. WTF?

I am not saying he should paint the car, not sure what his plans are. maybe he needs to paint some add on items or trim peices. He stated he has an older model car. I am sure he does not want to pay the 1,000 - 3,000 a Dealer may charge as you think he should do. He asked where you could find paint and I answered his question. I could careless what he paints or how he does it. It is his car and he can do whatever he wants with it.

actually you said that more than likely he would not be able to get a spray can anyway, to me that means you feel he should not go there cause it will be expensive and they wont have a spray can/rattle can in his desired color. Am I wrong? Have someone who has a body shop order parts/paint for you then you will get all factory parts at wholesale, but that might be difficult if you dont have connections. Either way to me it sounded like you were telling the guy to use a rattle can to paint with and regardless of the year of car, is just a pretty sorry way of doing things. considering you said spray/rattle can before anyone else mentioned it.
