Oregon Trail Recs for a Newb

Not sure if this is the correct forum to post this but I was hoping that some locals (PDX area) folks could recommend some trails for a novice off roader to check out.

I know of Browns camp but I’d like some fairly easy trails I could check out that would be a day trip. Thinking of hitting up Barlow Road near Govy this weekend.

Barlow is on my to do list.

I ran some trails going up to Goat Mountain this past weekend and made it to the towers. Pretty easy going stuff. Just start on Hillockburn Road and with Gaia you'll find the rest of the way.

Couple weeks ago we ran to Badger Lake. Check that one out as well. Pretty mild without a lot of people.

We like to run the Bennet Pass (FS 3550) off Highway 35 (turn off to Mt Hood Meadows) to Look Out Mtn Road to HWy 44 then back to Hwy 35- sort of a loop up above Badger Lake, there's some cliff sections with nice views and a few places to get in 4x4. Any stock 4x4 can do it, but the cliff sections and exposure make for some fun, plus the views as you're up high and can see awesome views of Mt.Hood

Or we do Bennet Pass to Bonney Meadows FS 4891 to Hwy 48 head east on paved for a mile or two then hit FS 4885/ turn of to Forest Creek Campground (theres a sign at turn) then it rolls right into Barlow trails. Which we run down to Wamic for Burgers at the Sportsmen.
