Original alternator at 185k miles possible?

My alternator says “Toyota Denso” looks old .. wondering if it’s the original .. I have a v6 185k miles ... possible to have a original alternator this long?

I have an 04 v6 sr5 4wd and I’m still on the original alternator and starter at 282,000 miles. I did have to replace the original battery in 2013 at around 180000 miles. Hope that helps.

My starter and alternator have over 193,000 miles on them. I'm pretty impressed with the guy who posted above me with 282,000 miles. That's awesome.

Im pretty sure mine is the original (bought at 111k miles) and I have 152K miles on it.

The alternator on my V8 was replaced at 138K miles with another Denso unit.

The original alternator on my 07 crapped out last summer at 160k.

Just replaced mine at around 250,000. I assume it was the original.

Buy an OEM if you do, or rebuild yours. I went through 4 auto part store remanned ones before I got a good one.

One or both of the bearings went south at on mine at 140,000 miles, otherwise it was charging fine, and I'd probably still be running it until it failed.

replaced the original on mine at about 220,000 a few months ago. replaced it with a denso also

I own several Toy's and have pushed beyond it's normal life cycle.
My 93 pick -up with 3.0l still have the original alternator @ 262k
My 99 4runner with 3.4l was just replaced early this year @310k
My 2003 4runner with 4.7l was replaced last year @ 235k
I have a 1987 FJ60 replaced the alternator back in 2007 and I think it was an original unit @ 195k (20 years). That's why I don't waste my time with bargain units and trying to save a few dimes and ends up costing more.

Among my son, daughter, and me, we own 5 4runners of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generations, with mileages of 180K, 220K, 280K, 300K, and 300K (miles). As far as I know, all are running on the original starters and alternators.

My 4Runner has a little over 200,000 and I'm still running the original alternator and haven't had any problems.

My last car was a Honda Accord, the original alternator lasted over 330,000 miles before it gave up the ghost.
