Of course I'm never going to look at this thread again......I can't take the heartache of seeing all these places I'm not in. j/k

Is that in a park or just open land? Looks like a blast of a camping site.

Well, another weekend drive to update the thread with. Went up into some Elk hunting areas to see what was to be seen. Not much sign, as wolves have kinda scattered things around these parts in the last several years.
But, the drive was great! Always good to be out there. I think the altitude was not too high up, aprox. 8,000 ft. or so. Perfect weather too!

I hear ya!

Actually one of my favorite things to do is shoot the deer that come into my yard in the butt with my Ruger AirHawk pellet gun.

A good friend was over just before deer season last year to sight in her compound bow. We are trying to convince her to hunt in our yard. We have plenty of places to string up any deer she gets to dress the carcass. We've talked to the neighbors, and due to the deer eating everything they've planted are all onboard with the idea of a deer massacre.

That picture of Houston just makes you want to go visit green places like this. Here's a Sunday drive we made going south on Skyline Drive - overlooking the Shenandoah River valley in Virginia.

I drive by these almost everyday! Virginia and West VA are very beautiful!...I don't know if your familiar with Switzer lake, but its very good for wheeling.

We go wheeling there all the time. The George Washington National Forest is a fun and relaxing off roading place to go. Check out what it looks like in the snow...

Oh man that is awesome! very cool videos and pictures. That place looks amazing in the snow. Man due to my 3rd generation being 2wd I've never really got the chance to go there in the snow, but now that I got my 89 22re thats the first place on my list as soon as I fix my timing chain. I went really far on that road that goes beside Switzer lake in my 3rd gen. in regular conditions. But its pretty tough without 4wd in some places.

We saw good elk sign today and called in a Bull to about 30 yards.
The best place for a 4runner is in the mountains.......the best place for a jeep is behind a 4runner.

We di our yearly Antelope hunt this weekend. I got mine. My home camo job works well in the mountains and forest, but how about the grasslands and open plains?????
My 4runner is dead ahead at 250 yds.
