Out of newbie jail...another new east bay CA member

Hey all, JB here from NorCal.

I helped my Dad buy a Camry a few weeks back and saw a real nice '18 Off Road on the showroom floor. A week later...the right deal...the wife's blessing and here we are.

I'm coming out of a 2012 BMW X5 35d. The Toyota doesn't have the power or handling of the X5 but I'm getting over that pretty quickly. ;)

It's got a "dealer installed" 3" lift, MHT Fuel wheel/Toyo tire package from DSI. It also has a custom interior with heated seats from Auto Haus. Loving the interior, that pushed me over the hump. It also came with Cilajet, complete paint protection package, etc...

Of course, only a week later and I already have more lighting, luggage and performance mods on the way...it's a losing battle to try and keep anything I own stock! ;)

BTW, that 911 looks familiar.... Ever take it autocrossing at Marina with the SCCA guys?

Thanks...yeah, it bit me badly. ;) Oh well, life is short and it brings me enjoyment.

No, haven't been out with the SCCA guys. I'm more of an open roadrace track guy, although that was mostly all bikes for years. The car will be soon.

Always cool to see more people in the Bay rockin the 4runner! Got mine for the move out to Montana but I drive it back every break!
 
I love 911 turbo's, but I can't seem to figure out why your front bumper looks so off... Is that aftermarket?

Also, you must really love the 4R to change from a twin-turbo diesel in the X5 to a underpowered V6 in the 5th gen 4runner :P

Why my front bumper looks so off? I'm running a Joe Toth front splitter, the bumper is stock.

The loss in power is being remedied a bit with mods but all in all, it's got enough power to get me around and if anything, it's slowing me down a tad (which pleases the wife).

Picked up my '18 TRD OR Premium 2 weeks ago as well!

Definitely loving it, I'm in South Bay as well. Glad to know there's another happy brother across the bay

Hope to give you a thumbs up in bay area traffic someday. ;) I'm down in the south bay a lot.
