I was debating whether I wanted to add chrome accessories or black powdercoat. I even posted a thread looking for opinions. In the end, I think I am going to go wiht the black & white "stormtrooper" look. My first mod will be a black Go Rhino hitch step. Followed by a black T&H bull bar & black window tint.

From there, the sky is the limit!

I think the funniest part of buying the truck last night was when the dealership customer service girl sat down with me to go over all the manuals and tell us about the survey we will be receiving. She emphasized that "Excellent" is the only passing grade that they can get & asked if we had any experience that would cause us to not grade them as excellent. My wife & I, both in unison, said YES!

Her face showed some concern as I started to go into the entire 5 month long saga in detail. Her face drew more & more sullen as I told her about how my original order was never placed. When I told her that I ordered a dark color with stone interior & I am getting a white truck with taupe interior her face was near a point of absolute despair. After I told her that I continually got conflicting stories from just about every person I spoke with at the dealership, I thought she was going to cry. I think the line that killed her was when I said "If anyone in Atlanta, or even in the Southeast United States, asks me where they should buy a Toyota, I will tell them to go anywhere but Stone Mountain Toyota."

I did not do it to be mean, but if anyone should know about the colossal screw up the dealership made, it should be the customer service manager.

I love the 18's and the color, nice choice! I've had my share of problems with dealerships around here too, mainly with Cobb County Toyota, and I tell everybody to avoid them at all costs.

Congratulations

I got the same car (almost) SR5 V6 - white with tan. I thought all you tiger fans would have gotten yellow over black. Just kidding... I jsut thought I would share my buying experience. I bought through my credit union. Prior to making that decsion I checked pricing at about ten dealers and the Costco and the Sams buying programs. At the Credit Union I decided I had nothing to lose so I would let their car buying service take a crack at 'the deal'. About 45 minutes after I left, they called and said they found the car for what I wanted to pay. It worked out almost $1,000 below INVOICE. I agreed to the deal and asked them how I go about getting the car. they said that whenever I wanted to come sign the papers they would have the car there and ready to go. I set up a time and they did, even a full tank of gas and the window sticker in an envelope in the car. No dealer pressure, no BS, jsut what I wanted and a 3.9% loan to boot.

Wow, both cars look great. The 97 certainly doesn't look like a 9 year old car. I have heard horror stories when you special order. It looks like you sold the old car. Did you ever change the timing belt or did you decide to not change it? I remember you talking about that a few months ago.

As far as Atlanta dealers, I have not heard anyone talk about a good Toyota dealer. I agree with Cobb County Toyota, they have treated me poorly and treated my Dad when he took it in for service rather poorly.

I have taken my car to Marietta Toyota for service twice and they seemed pretty good, fair and competent, but they didn't do very good when it came to dealing. I bought from Atlanta Toyota, but it was sure a big hassle, probably not as big as yours though. The good thing about getting the car, is you don't have to deal with them for another 9 years. :arrow:

Once agian, great looking new vehicle. Let us know how you like it, compared to your 97.

I'm lovin those wheels. Congrats on the pickup. White was my first color choice, but then I settled for GG since they didnt have it. Now go break in that motor!
