When I bought my '99 the driver's side outside mirror was cracked and broken. I got a replacement mirror glass from a dealer, but my question is how to go about removing the old one?
Seems like the mirror glass is glued/stuck on and there is a rubber molding around it. I've heard that if I heat up the mirror the glue will soften and I can remove it.
Is this something I need a heat gun for or will a blow drier work? Also do I need to try to remove the rubber molding before I put it on or after? The replacement does not include the rubber molding.
Any tips from anyone who's done this will be appreciated!
