Outside Temp Readings

So I know we're going through a heat wave in Toronto currently but 42C / 107degF is a bit of a variance I think to what it really is out there today. Where is the sensor located?

The vehicle was sitting in the middle of a parking lot alone mid afternoon, maybe the heat off the asphalt contributed to that number but it only went down to 37C once I got driving for awhile.

Is there a thread for hottest and coldest readings? Competition? LoL. Just kidding...

It's currently 93 degrees F (34 degrees C) in Central Illinois at 4:30 PM in late September. This is not normal.

Agreed as others have said abnormal autumn weather we are having. The actual ambient temp was in the 90s. Take your car sitting in the sun with no moving air and that cabin will heat up pretty quick.
