hey guys im new to the site and also to toyota this is my first toyota truck/suv but i am not new to car/truck forums so yes i have searched and searched for the last 2 weeks before joing hopeing to find a cure to my problem...i am new to toyota but work at a small shop where i work on toyota and honda everyday so i know what im doing for the most part...i have a 1990 sr5 toyota 4runner 3.0 v6 (junk munk motors) with the auto tranny its 4wd the problem is it shifts into overdrive 20% of the time and will stay in overdrive for about 5 min then kick back down i have searched and only found "my overdrive dont work when cold" thats not my problem i understand o/d will not engage till it reaches 120 degrees or operating temp i have replaced thermostat and even re soldered the known e-17 splice located behing the powersteering pump in the wireing also the previous owner (my buddy) replaced the temp sending sensor i am stuck and i need this fixed i get crappy mpg and its just annoying lol i do a ton of hwy driving thanks for reading and i hope to get some usefull advice
