My wife has a 2004 Toyota 4runner and the overhead sunglasses holder assembly is flopping down (does not stay tite to the headliner) how due you remove the holder to repair clips or whatever holds it up?

Thanks, Kevin

Mine doesn't either, but it was my fault due to me pulling it down and breaking the clips that are installed on the roof (not the headliner). I just live it with, it stays up there and I can't afford a new sunglasses holder and clips from Toyota. I know that'll be expensive.

I've one that works. It is whole overhead unit with map lights sunroof switch and sunglass storage w/o garage opener. How much is it worth to you? PM me if interested.

I know, old thread, but just wondering if anyone knows the part number for the gray part of the sunglasses/map light trim? As in, that assembly is like two parts put together and I broke the two tabs on the windshield side of it when I was trying the map light mod.

All of the write ups said to pull firmly straight down on the sunglasses holder, so I did that...and broke whatever holds that up onto the upper part of the assembly.

I did the exact same thing. Those metal clips were holding on tight!

I bought a tube of two-part epoxy and glued the holder back together at the broken tabs and it's held up great. A few bucks vs. about $40 for a used one of ebay.
