overheating. HELPPP!

so heres the story.

i have been having an overheating problems today. and i couldnt figure out what the problem is. so i popped the hood and noticed that the auxiliary fan doesnt turn on even when the car was super super hot.

so my question is:
a) how do i fix the fan?
b) is the fan not working enough to cause the car to overheat?

P.S. i pressurized the cooling system and there is no leak. and the car doesnt overheat when im on the freeway or moving at a good speed.

definitely sounds like a fan problem... Check fuses and wiring harnesses first.

the fuses are fine. i just started my car and turned the air on and drove around the block. what i noticed is that the fan actually works until it gets hot. when it gets hot then it turns off. (wtf. isnt the point of the fan to keep things cool) and then i also noticed that theres a leak from the upper radiator hose (fixed it) but the car is still overheating. :bash:

Hate to bring the thread back from the dead, but any luck? I'm having similar issues
