Overheating Issues

Sorry guys, don't know if this is the right spot to ask, but I just got my first car, a 04 SR5 4Runner, from my aunt, but the problems that it has sound crazy. The only history I know of it was that the car would overheat and leak coolant after a while. It would not work for my cousins multiple times and the coolant had to be refilled every few weeks. Apparently, from what my family has told me, the coolant would leak towards the oil, or the exhaust, and the car would start smoking, as well as theres a crack somewhere. Theres different things family say, and well, I don't know what it is. I'm new to actually fixing cars, and I only know a bit about cars, so if someone could please help out! Thanks!

Which engine does it have, the V6 or the V8?

Its a V6. I also noticed that theres some buzzing sound coming form I think the blower, some weird squeaking noise that sound like a rat, and it struggles to turn on sometimes, with a loud knock sound coming out once in a while and then it starts

pretty much same issue.

my truck was just given to me by a family member and ive been finding a hand full of issues with it but ive noticed that the moment i turn on the engine the needle starts to gradually climb to hot (although it has never reached the red area) as if theres no coolant circulating, which there should be. now i dont know anything abt the truck but ive tried to look everywhere to see what the issue could be, ive checked the thermostat (boiling it in water to see if it opens) replaced the coolant, drained the coolant, my brother added water to see if that would do anything to no avail. as far as i know the fan works there is a squealing sound coming from the alternator pulley but other than that i cant figure out why its overheating. ive tried to find a water pump but everytime i search for it i never find the right one. does anyone know what could be the issue or where to find a water pump for a 2004 4runner sr5 4.7l v8? i have been learning things abt the engine but ill admit i know nothing about how it all actually works. any help is appreciated
