Overland Route Dallas to Northern Oregon

Hey all,

I will be moving from Texas to Northern Oregon in October of this year. I will be driving up first without the wife and kid so decided to make an adventure out of it. I will have 4-5 days and plan to take as many back country roads as possible.

Currently I am considering driving West and taking the ENCHANTED ROCKIES TRAIL starting in New Mexico and taking it to Southern Colorado where I would get on the RIM ROCKER TRAIL and head West into MOAB. Not sure what to do after that. Maybe part of the IDBR before heading West to Oregon. Does anyone have any great Utah or Idaho suggestion heading in a general East to West direction?

I know 4-5 days is not a ton of time but its what I have and I figure I might as well try and make it as epic as possible.

Anybody have any routes, ideas, or suggestions? I will be in a capable 5th Gen I've built out but this will be my first, longer Overland trip like this. I have
a buddy who will fly out and join as well. Super excited though. If anyone would like to chime in to help refine this trip I would really appreciate it.

That isn't much time for such a long drive. Maybe spend a full day in Moab, then take pavement on a two-day drive to Oregon?
